These are most often used as connections from a desktop video card to a monitor or display. The machined pin threads provide a tight, secure slot for tightening down DVI cable screws. When the cables are firmly seated in place, this coupler can dependably hold the connection despite any pulling, tugging, or pressure. This adapter is capable of transferring analog or digital signals but it will not convert a signal from one to another. DVI is a video-only signal.
